Ninja swords (Ninjatō) - The blades of the shadow warriors

The ninjatō, also known as the ninja sword, is the legendary weapon of the ninjas, who were notorious for their mysterious and silent fighting methods. In contrast to the elegant, curved katanas of the samurai, the ninjatō is characterised by a straight blade designed for quick attacks, precise thrusts and versatile techniques in combat. It was not only a weapon, but also a multifunctional tool that could be used in many situations.

The special design of a Ninjatō offers numerous advantages. The straight blade makes it possible to draw the sword efficiently from the saya (sword sheath) and strike at lightning speed. The shorter length of the sword was also ideal for fighting in confined spaces or in ambush. Many ninja swords also had an extended saya, which could be used as a blowpipe, storage for small weapons or even as an improvised climbing aid.

Historically, there are few original records of ninjatōs, as ninjas often kept their techniques and equipment secret. Nevertheless, modern reconstructions and historical texts have shown that these weapons were perfectly tailored to the needs of a silent warrior. Their design was pragmatic, robust and built for efficiency - a hallmark of the ninja art.

The legendary ninja sword - a legacy of the shadow warriors The legendary ninja sword, also known as the ninjatō, is considered one of the most mysterious weapons of Japanese warriors. The ninja, masters of stealth and espionage, used weapons that could give them an advantage in dangerous missions. Samurai vs. ninja - was there really a conflict? There are many stories about the rivalry between samurai and ninja. According to legend, the ninja were masters of assassination and were considered enemies of the samurai. In reality, however, the two warrior classes were fundamentally different and rarely engaged in direct conflict. Some famous samurai, such as Hattori Hanzō, are even said to have combined both roles - samurai and ninja. Were there special ninja swords? Historical research shows that the ninja probably did not have specially developed ninja swords. Instead, they often used shorter, slightly modified samurai swords that were better suited to confined spaces. A special ninjatō, as it is known today, is more of a modern interpretation than an exact historical replica. What can buyers who want to buy a ninja sword today expect? Anyone looking to buy a ninja sword today will usually find a variant with a straight, single-edged blade. This design has become an iconic representation of the ninjatō, although it is not one hundred per cent historically proven. How much does a real ninja sword cost? The price of a ninja sword varies greatly depending on the quality and material. Entry-level models are available for little money, while hand-forged swords made of high-quality steel can cost several thousand euros. Here in our shop you can buy a ninja sword made from one continuous piece of steel(full tang) and equipped with a sharp 1045 carbon steel blade. This model offers excellent value for money and is ideal for beginners and collectors.
