In addition, all Cold Steel® tomahawks are differentially hardened: The cutting edge and striking surface are fully hardened to guarantee maximum sharpness and long edge retention, while the rest of the head remains slightly softer to better absorb impacts. The Rifleman's Haw k combines functionality with historical flair. It is inspired by traditional models from the time of the early American settlers. Its shape resembles the famous "peace pipe" (Pipe Hawk) of the Native Americans and thus combines historical aesthetics with modern performance.
