Light Cavalry Saber of 1796 with Wooden and Leather Scabbard

Product information "Light Cavalry Saber of 1796 with Wooden and Leather Scabbard"

Light Cavalry Saber of 1796 with Leather-Covered Wooden Scabbard

The light cavalry saber by Cold Steel® is inspired by the legendary swords wielded by British and Prussian troops during the Battle of Waterloo. Its distinctive blade shape is reminiscent of the Indian Talwar and was so effective that it remained in use by the German cavalry well into the early 20th century.

However, this saber is much more than just a decorative collector's piece. It boasts high quality and durability, meeting the standards of the British Proof Test – a testing procedure that ensures resilience and sharpness. The blade is fully sharpened and ready for use.

Two scabbard options are available: a classic full-metal version or an elegant wooden scabbard with a leather cover and sturdy steel fittings. Both variants provide optimal protection and enhance the historical authenticity of this remarkable saber.

1055 Carbon Steel
